Article: The All Forgiving Liver
The
liver is the hardest working organ of the body and with a bit little TLC, the
most forgiving. It will repair itself 100% and re-grow if a part of it is cut
off. It also takes the most abuse through alcohol, medications, fats, sugars,
carbs. Everything that we eat, absorb through the skin, and breathe through the
air must be filtered through the liver.
The
liver performs 1000 plus tasks, 24 hours a day. Over 2 quarts of blood a minute
are filtered through the liver everyday. The liver stores iron and produces
bile, which is stored in the gallbladder. The gallbladder is the liver’s
partner. When you help the liver, you help the gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys
and heart. REALLY the whole body is happier AND so is your mind.
Bile
serves four functions: (1) emulsifies fats, (2) stimulates the release of lipases from the
pancreas, (3) combines with lipids to form water soluble complexes so it can be
absorbed in the small intestine, and (4) stimulates peristalic action (a wavelike muscular action of the digestive tract
in the large intestine).
What
are some of the signs of a clogged liver? Difficulty losing and keeping weight
off, allergies, anxiety attacks, skin problems, indigestion, headaches,
constipation, migraines, foggy brain, low energy, depression, HBP, hepatitis,
angry outbursts, bad breath, poor eye sight, heart problems, and even false
heart attacks. Well that’s enough information for me to clean up the liver, a
lot!
Foods for assisting liver health: In the vegetable family:
artichoke,
Jerusalem
artichoke, beets, broccoli, cabbage, dandelion, fennel, onions and garlic,
parsley, radish, turnips. In the fruit category: apples, pears, avocado,
banana, grapefruit, grapes, lemons, papaya, pineapple, and watermelon.
Beans: Lentils, red kidney beans, chickpeas.
What can we do on a regular basis? Eat healthier? Yes!
Here are a few specifics:
1.
Fasting
one day a week. This gives the liver a rest;
2.
Swedish
Bitters daily â€" this adds the liver and digestion;
3.
Salad
daily;
4.
Reduce
fat intake,
5.
Limit/Eliminate
alcohol and sugar intake;
6.
Drink
a glass of lemon water twice daily;
7.
Exercise
at least 4 times a week;
8.
Learn
what supports the liver;
9.
Get
more sleep; and
10. Once a year do a deep
cleanse of the liver and gallbladder.
Keeping the liver clean will bless us with
living longer, healthier and happier.
If you’ve never done a liver / gallbladder
cleanse flush, then now’s the time. Don’t wait for something serious to occur.
The deep cleanse must be supervised to make sure all is going well. I’ve done
many on myself and supervised clients and family. If done properly, it’s
pain-free.
Peace,
Love and Blessings,
Beth

Gold is a valuable mineral that has been used throughout
eons of time in Egypt, India, China, and Japan. Gold concoctions have a rich history of bringing health,
happiness, vitality, and longevity. There is even evidence supporting it’s use
in psychic development and astral travel. I know most think of it as just a
source of wealth, but it’s greatest benefit is to our health.
*More recently, gold has been medically documented to be
highly effective in certain cases of inoperable cancer. Injection of
microscopic gold pellets helps retard prostate cancer in men. Gold injections
are also very effective in cases of acute arthritis. Women with ovarian cancer
are treated with colloidal gold. Brain surgeons use 24 carat gold thread to
suture delicate areas of the brain during surgery.
*Gold has
been used with great success in the treatment of alcoholism, arthritis, skin
ulcers, and burns. For depression and unstable mental and emotional states,
gold can raise energy levels and promote a general euphoric feeling. With its
harmonizing and balancing effects, it helps the body to relax. It enhances the
body's natural defenses against illness and promotes longevity. (*These two
paragraphs were taken directly from Wholefood Farmacy’s website.)
Lose
Inches While Relaxing!
Today I
had a chance to try a machine that a friend and colleague use in his business.
The machine burns fat while building muscle. With one session (30 minutes long)
I lost one inch in my waistline. This is fantastic! During the session I felt
very relaxed even though I was laughing a lot. It helps with a euphoric
feeling. I’m really, really looking forward to my next session.
The first
session is free till August 15th. If you wish to find out more, you
can email Dan Topkis at slimmeryou@earthlink.net
or give him a call at 917-434-3947. Please, please, please be sure to tell him
that I referred you.
